You know you have the best friends when they suddenly send you a photo of your guy during your ranting spree HAHAHAHA they send it because they know it will make you smile and will eventually make you feel better. And then all is well in the universe again. :)

Anonymous said: Hi Aleli. Pwede ba ako mag-order ng cupcakes with a side order of pagmamahal? no one loves me kasi, masyado kasi akong maganda huhuhu you feel me?
Hindi ka maganda, feeling ka kaya walang nag mamahal sayo. Pero kahit feeling ka, pwede ka bumili ng cupcake—pag nag benta ako. Brownies kasi ginagawa ko. #MagbasaResponsibly

I left my bag of groceries to two security guards from Shangri La because I had to run to Gourdo’s before it closes. When I went back to get my groceries the guards weren’t there anymore. This Kuya Guard offered to help me retrieve my groceries when the snooty concierge refused to help me. He even offered to carry one of the bags-he even chose the heaviest!!-until I could find a cab. Wow. Random acts of kindness really blow me away.❤️😊

Here’s a photo of me and one of my favorite classmates from my LEAP batch-Sammy. Samsam was also my classmate from ALC and he’s become one of my favorites because I saw how much he’s changed since I met him from our ALC sessions.
During ALC, he was resentful, deadma, and aloof from the rest of group. When we would be in session breaks, he’ll just stand in one corner and watch everyone else mingle. I remember I even tried to start a conversation with him but I only got terse replies so I stopped. When we were asked to do a group activity he just sat in one place and didn’t even participate, he didn’t care. He wouldn’t even smile! (But look at that photo!!!)
Fast forward to now… I would never have thought we’d have a picture together. He’s just so warm and cheerful now. Definitely a far cry from what I’ve experienced with him during ALC. He’s now beginning to open up to people. He’s now even more loving and really just so compassionate. I really can’t wrap my head around the fact that this is the same person I attended ALC with.
Every time I get disheartened aka throw the white flag and give up, I just always think of people like Sammy from my batch and how much they’ve changed because of the program. It helps me get back on track. :)
